Reptiles on the Brunswick River

We don't often see reptiles along the Brunswick River from the cruise boat but when we do our passengers get very excited. The team spotted this large Carpet Python warming itself on a dead tree branch overhanging the river. It thought it was a great place to sun bake until our boat came along. Luckily it wasn't disturbed by all the photo taking! The crew judged it to be about 3m long.

Another reptiles we've seen occasionally are Lace Monitor lizards. We've seen one swim across the river and spotted this one chilling out in a large tree along the river bank. It was about 1.5m long.

There is always something interesting to see as we cruise the river and we love sharing it with our guests.
