Autumn on the Brunswick River

Writer: Simon & Lorraine FreedenSimon & Lorraine Freeden
  • The White-bellied Sea Eagles and Ospreys are in nesting mode

  • Plenty of fish in the river and the ocean - the boat ramp has been busy at times

  • The river is quiet with no tourists around

  • Mullet spawning usually starts around ANZAC day

  • We've seen some of biggest stingrays we get in the river. Remember to splash and stamp your feet when entering the water and they will get out of your way.

  • Most people are doing the right thing, being polite and obeying the rules

  • If you are into photography, it is a great time of year with blue skies and clear water - great for reflections
