Want some local knowledge on what to do when you are visiting Byron Bay?
We suggest getting out of Byron in the morning to see the area and returning to Byron in the afternoon or you can spend the day in Byron and do the Sunset Cruise on the Beautiful Brunswick River and be back in Byron for dinner etc.

Suggested Itinerary for Byron and surrounds
9am Leave Byron and head north towards Gold Coast and the M1
9.40am Arrive at Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour
9.45am Check in for the 2hr Eco Rainforest River Cruise including delicious morning Tea
12.00pm Return from the cruise and drive into the Brunswick Heads township
12.10pm Choose from the lovely selections of cafés or the historic Hotel Brunswick for lunch and check out the eclectic shops for a unique purchase
2.00pm Leave Brunswick Heads and drive through the hinterland to Crystal Castle
OR stay in Bruns and go for a walk along the river wall and footbridge to have a closer look around the area. A drive to the Lions Lookout in Ocean Shores is a local secret and gives the best view of the coastline to Byron Bay and the Gold Coast without the crowds

2.30pm Arrive Crystal Castle and enjoy the beautiful gardens, amazing crystals and stunning views
5pm Return to Byron the same way or via an alternate route
Note: If you have time Mullumbimby and Bangalow are pretty towns and have excellent unique shopping
